I ordered this cookbook in the middle of the night when I couldn't go to sleep. The title felt appropriate for what I needed, a small victory. This year has been a strange one, but one of which I'm very appreciative. The importance of family, health, education, and empathy have been prevalent themes and sometimes I find myself in deep thoughts that fill me with a rainbow of emotions. It was one of those nights that I found this cookbook. Frankly, I don't even remember how I stumbled on it; only that I saw it, did some research on Julia Turshen saw her stance on Giving Back, and decided it was something I wanted to support.
I spent an hour or so reading the first part of the book, Breakfast - does anyone else read cookbooks? I love the stories behind each recipe.
